Rohan stepped into his terra, head held proudly. He was bringing another mare home. That would make four - yes, he considered the nameless mare part of his herd - in his herd, five counting him. A shrill neigh echoed through the terra, letting the others know of the newcomer. He walked slowly, enjoying the feel of the breeze on his face. The plains were great for running in the open, but he was headed for the forests where there was more cover. The day was stormy here and the breeze was growing stronger as he walked on. He cast a glance over his shoulder to see where the mare was.

Walking on to her lords land she stepped up beside him nuzzling his shoulder and carried on walking along side him her head held high orbs looking all around her. They were walking over a large plain the wind coming across them sending her tassles flying to the side like a banner in the breeze. Looking ahead of her she asked are we head for that forest. Seeing a large forest just ahead of them glancing up to the sky she noticed the dark clouds swarming together she knew there was a storm to come.

Aye, the forest, he said calmly. The wind was quickly picking up strength and dark clouds were moving in with them. Though he enjoyed storms, it was better to be in the forest while there was one. A fire flickered in his eyes as he impatiently waited for the storm to break. He heard thunder in the distance, and picked up his pace, sure that the mare would do the same. His banner waved in the wind behind him and he laid his ears flat against his head as the wind blew across his face. We must take shelter from the storm. He spoke a second time, his voice lined with excitemnt and eagerness.

Feeling his excitment as she picked up pace behind him to keep up as they headed to the forest her auds flicked forwards as she heard the thunder boom in the distance slowly gettting closer to them then flicking back hugging her skull. Yes i think that would be a good idea. She said as she closed up beside him her head by his shoulder. her head held high the wind whipped her mane and forlock back it flew like a banner out behind her.

Rohan picked up the pace and entered the trees as the rain began to softly fall to the ground. The trees provided enough shelter because they were thick here in his forests, but they grew thicker as you went on and he was eager to reach some of the thickest parts of his forests. The heart of the forest offered shelter from the wind and the rain with the larger trees that grew there.
Rohan led the way until he came to a thick grove of trees. Chosing a sturdy willow that offered the best protection from the rain, he stood underneath it. The rest of the grove offered protection from the driving winds. He nickered softly to the mare, asking her to stand beside him. They would wait out the storm and then he could show her around.

Following Rohan under the willow tree she stood and blew softly after the run. She rubbed her head against her leg then snatched at the grass blades by her daggers once eaten she tried to talk I can see why you came to the forest i can't feel any of the wind now. turning her head towards him taking in his scent.

It is a good forest, and keeps out most of the weather, he agreed calmly. He gently touched her neck with his muzzle, then lowered his head to the ground. His eyes watched from their corners and he kept his ears pricked, listening and watching for danger. Sometimes there was danger in the forest, but rarely anymore. He pulled at the grass and chewed his mouthful quickly, lifting his head to scent the air. The rain was coming down hard, and wached all scent from it. There was nothing he could catch on the air but for the smell of the lightning and thunder and rain. There would be little to scent until the storm was over.

After his touch she kept her head up while had lowered his she took in the scents around her the rain making the pine smell fresh. She loved the smell of a forest after a storm it always smelt so fresh reminding her of spring even in the hottest summer or perishing winter. Lifting her hind leg to rest her hoof on its tip her whole limb crooked at the joints. All her muscles at rest relaxed, her body held lazily while she waited out the storm. Lowering her head by his her dentals pulling a few emerald blades from their place in the ground. Not knowing what to say anymore as she was quite a quiet mare. She raised her head again to chew up the few strings of greenery in her mouth, swallowing them she kept her head up lazily placing it horizontal to her back, her mane fell to both sides of her short boa. Auds pointing to the sides occasionally flicking behind her and in front. She let her eyelids close slowly over her deep pools, she let herself doze slightly, but ready to move or speak if she was spoken to.
